Background Info:
Father Daniel - The church scribe assigned to Kalutika
Maybus, in hopes of keeping account of all the
advances, and achievements that Major Maybus
achieved as he worked for the Sacred Knights.

When asked why/how he became a church scribe, he
replied..."Writing was always my passion, second
only to the church. And so I became a chronicler of
the truth.  A truth not at the mercy of the whims of man."

Father Daniel was there with Kalutika when he chose
Rett from the stockades, and there when he met up
again with Deshwitat for the first time in ten years,
as Kalutika saved Deshwitats' life.  He has chronicled
everything that has happened; and everything truthfully.

Unfortunately, this is what becomes the downfall of
the group, as any vampire is automatically considered
'the devil', and conspiring with such creatures is an
automatic death sentence.

Fortunately, even though it cost him his life, Daniel
kept his promise to Rett, and not only wrote and kept
to the truth in his journal, but tossed the journal to
safety, and away from the hands of certain zealous
church members, whom wished the 'truth' not to be known.
