Background Info:
Danube Maybus, thought to be the sister of Kalutika Maybus (Kalutika's adopted).
Danube grew up with a hateful father, and when Kalutika came along, she at least had
a sibling to help her through the abuse.

She and Kalutika grew up very close, and when Deshwitat fell in battle to Rett Butler,
it was she that helped nurse him back to health in their basement.  She even grew to care
for Deshwitat, and love him.

However, she played a short part in the series, as it was at her death, that Kalutika
partly became the vengeful monster he is now.  When Deshwitat failed to fullfill his
promise to Kalutika - in saving Danube, and instead saved the life of his own beloved
- Lilith.
